EWA
EWA is an umbrella organisation joining EUW and EPP of the European Parliament http://www.epp-women.org 50/50 representation and Chairman to alternate every second year between EUW and EPP. Presently EUW has the chair.
Article V of the EUW Constitutinon Sec 6 Further European organisationsa) EUW is a member of EWA (European Women’s Association) b) The elected chairman, the vice-chairman and the treasurer are members of the Steering Committee of EWA, c) in addition two further members of the Executive are to be elected by the Executive to be sent to the Steering Committee of EWA, d) at least two substitutes may be elected by the Executive to attend the Steering Committee of EWA, if one of the nominated members cannot attend a meeting, e) all members nominated for the Steering Committee have to be from different countries.
